Sleepless in Nashville

I’ve never been comfortable with the look of masks
except maaaybe at Halloween
and that is scary enough...
cuz I’m a Halloweenie.
Someone wearing a mask
 let alone myself

freaks me and PaulA out…
and brings on nightmares.

Unfortunately we are probably going to be wearing masks
in public for a very longtime.
Clearly...2020 never looked so bad.
So it’s gonna take even more effort to coordinate a mask with an outfit.
First it's shoes, now it’s masks….when will it stop?
Fashion Dilemmas
Sleepless in Nashville.

You just know there will be those who will want to make a
mask
a fashion statement...
wether it be hip, haute or haunting.

My first mask was a scarf.
And it made a statement:
"Give me all your money.”

Because we are all encouraged to wear a mask,
this could be a good time to be a bad guy.
Or may not.
Bad guys may have a masked advantage
to blend in with GQ Public…
BUT
it is  still hard for bad guys to burglarize our homes with us always home…
planted on the couch.
Organic couch potatoes.
You know bandits everywhere are thinking
“Will you leave the house already? I need the work."
It's actually tough for bad guys to get good inside job
opportunities anymore.
They might want to consider an inside...
small Bank loan…
under the
Bailouts for Bad Guys Act -  2020
Bad dreams of bad guys.

Anywho…

I am dyslexic when it comes to understanding
who is protecting who
when it comes to wearing masks.
“They" say wearing a mask protects others …
but it doesn't protect yourself...
something about ingress and egress.
Well, let me digress….or progress:
The who-protecting-who round
needs to stop going in circles.
Let’s just all wear masks and
then I don’t have to loose sleep
trying to figure it all out.

Who-protecting-who rounds
are like song earworms...
they get stuck in your head
and keep you up at night.

Although masks cover our faces
they can’t cover our feelings of...
 stress,
anxiousness and
helplessness
over the uncertainty in our world.
Another restless night.

I'm with you on that one Kathy, the local grocery store is giving away gift cards for the person with the best mask. It's not Halloween is it? Lol
